Ridango is an international technology company that provides market-leading transit solutions and services. Ridango delivers turnkey projects or separate solutions and services for real-time information and state of the art ticketing solutions for transportation agencies and companies. 

Ridango was incorporated in 2009 (previously known as UnitedTickets) by private investors in Tallinn, Estonia. Ridango is a spin-off company from Estonian Certification Centre that is Estonia's primary and currently the only certification authority, providing certificates for authentication and digital signing to Estonian ID Cards. Certification Centre is owned by large Scandinavian banks (SEB Bank, Swedbank) and telecommunication companies (Telia Sonera Group). Therefore, Ridango history goes back to 2004 when Certification Center started working on ID-card based ticketing solutions, which was deployed in the city of Tallinn and Tartu in Estonia.

2011 Partnership with TriNorth Holding AB for Sweden
2012 Entering Swedish market, ticketing solution for Gotland Region, Sweden
2012 Unique one of its kind tablet based drivers console and POS solution
2012 MasterCard Vendor agreement made
2013 Ridango merged with WebPartner, majority of Estonian intercity and municipality ticketing solutions offered by Ridango
2013 Ridango invests to Reserbus.mx to sell tickets in Mexico
2013 Multi-operators multi-company based connected e-wallet launched for ticketing
2014 QR ticketing solutions launched
2014 Dedicated mobile app launched for mobile tickets, ticket purchases and real-time information
2014 Real-time passenger information systems launched
2014 Ridango participates in MasterCard StartPath accelerator in Ireland for payment services in Transit industry
2015 Ridango launched many new systems in Sweden and Estonia.
2016 New contract for operating ticketing system in Tallinn for further 7 years
2016 Launching a ticketing system in Nuuk, Greenland and ticketing and AVL / RTI soltuion in  Södermanland County, Sweden


Management team

Ridango management team consist of highly experienced team of professionals and entrepreneurs with proven track record in the public transportation services and operations. Their collective knowhow and experience has led Ridango to become one of the most successful new transit services provider in the industry. 

Erki Lipre - CEO, chairman of the board

Erki is responsible for general management of Ridango. Previously Erki served as the CIO of Baltic States for ABB Group as well as Head of Marketing and Sales for ABB Group in Estonia and as COO at Ridango. He has also worked as management consultant at Ernst & Young in Estonia and Spain.
Erki is international business management graduate from Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge Campus.

Argo Verk - VP of Sales, member of the board

Argo oversees ticketing and real-time passenger information sales at Ridango.
Argo has previously founded and led a company that was focused on ferry ticket sales for transport companies in Estonia.

Kristjan Niinemaa - CFO, member of the board

Kristjan joined Ridango autumn 2015 and was named on the management board November 2016. He is responsible for financial management and overseeing Ridango's finance department.
Kristjan has previously been CFO for N-Terminal Grupp (logistics and trading company), CEO and member of the management board at Joint Office of Estonian Insurers' Association and Motor Insurance Bureau/Guarantee Fund of Estonia.


René Bernard - VP of Engineering

Rene joined Ridango autumn 2015. He is leading Ridango's development department. Before joining Ridango, René worked 13 years at TeliaSonera group, where he held various positions, including architect for IPTV and head of IPTV development team.   

Alan Rein - VP of Product

Alan joined Ridango spring 2016. Alan has product management experience from leading global technology companies, as well as has hold various C level positions in large Estonian companies. Alan is responsible for Ridango's product management team. 

Margus Tammoja - Head of Support Operations

Margus is running the service department at Ridango, that includes end-user support and customer care, but also technical administration, installation and maintenance of our solutions.

Jaanika Soever - Head of Key Accounts and Projects

Jaanika is responsible for project delivery and account management department at Ridango. She holds a PMP certificate and has been working as project manager, Head of PMO and COO in various international IT companies for more than 13 years.

Eliise Ala -   HR Manager

Eliise is working on HR and Organizational processes. She is supporting management on HR processes and leadership development. Eliise has previously been working as HR Manager for Stora Enso’s Finance Shared Service Center and Wood Supply.
